Project Narrative
Our community needs to come together now more than ever before. Construction is underway on a Community Center for the City of Detroit to support families and businesses through rebuilding, regrowth and beyond. This initiative will be heavily funded by families and businesses of Detroit.
The Detroit Lake Foundation was created to increase the livability and community cohesiveness for the community of Detroit, Oregon by providing additional funding sources for city beautification projects and community based programs and activities that are not in the city's funding abilities. The mission of the Detroit Lake Foundation is to enhance the quality of life for residents and establish a sustainable economic recovery to ensure that the city thrives for current and future generations.
Built for the community, by the community.
Goals of the Community Center
Our goal for the Detroit Lake Community Center is to create a self-sustaining space for the families of Detroit and visitors to safely convene, gather and grow. The center will be nearly 24,000 square feet of space which will be used for various activities.
Thank you to Studio 3 Architecture, AC+Co, and Rich Duncan Construction for submitting these building renderings.

Thank You Contributors
This project is being funded and completed by donors and volunteers who have graciously donated time, materials and monetary sums to help us get closer to our goal. We could not do this without these contributors.
One of the main magic makers of this project is the Santiam Rebuild Coalition formed by SEDCOR.
After fires devastated the Santiam Canyon, generous members of the building community pledged to help. The Santiam Rebuild Coalition is a group of licensed and insured construction industry members who have committed materials and labor to fast-track a community building for Detroit.
